Project: Garden Transformation

Description: The client desperately needed to make a nice garden suitable for all the family. They asked me to design them one with two key features: firstly, an area for the children, somewhere for their trampoline; secondly, an area big enough for entertaining and room for them in the future to have an outside bar.

So, I designed a circular patio for their main sitting area with Indian stone (600 x 600 slabs) and a pergola to fit over it. The side and back of the house was paved in Indian stone (600 x 900 slabs) with the side of the house in mind for a bbq and bar. I placed a circular lawn in the centre of the garden. The back area became dedicated to the trampoline and room to add more things for the children. Contemporary style planting helped to disguise the area.

I placed a raised pond with more planting to the side with garden lighting to light up the key features of the garden and small deck lights installed in the slate chippings around the stone circle.

Due to budget constraints, not all aspects of the design were able to be done at this stage.
