Project: Garden makeover
Description: The client who had lived at the property for over 30 years decided the garden was long over due for a makeover. So they asked me me to design them a completely different garden to what they had.
For this garden I designed them a new seating area in the top corner of the garden to capture the sun all day and evening. I designed a decking area which is big enough for dining and relaxing on. To the side of this, a contemporary style border featuring a collection of tree ferns and topped with decorative pebbles, and large Indian stone pavers to connect the house with the decking. The lawn was to be reshaped to a crescent moon shape. To the left hand side, a large raised inverted sleeper bed with a built in bench an half pergola. The raised bed was planted with a mixture of trees, large shrubs, herbaceous plants and climbers, and running in front of the raised bed, a path of slate chippings with a water feature and box ball shrubs.
