Project: Garden Design

Description: The client although have a very well kept garden wanted a change and an improvement of what they had. So they asked me to design them a new garden and also include redoing the the front drive and make it slightly bigger. So I came up with design. So with some minor adjustments a budget was agreed and work commenced. Due to budget constraints it was decided that the old paving was to be kept and refurbished and added to and finished with resin joint filler, and the old lawn was also kept. The client also provided their own planting. Other than that, the work was done as to the plan. The patio was raised to a level with sleepers and in addition to the plan steps were constructed and then paved with Indian stone and resin joints. The decking was done with composite decking with lights added.  The lawn was edged with metal lawn edging and the boarders were planted and topped off with slate chippings. Spot lights were added to give night time interest.

A new round patio was designed for the corner to replace the old one giving them plenty of space alfresco dining. Opposite this the client wanted an area they could sit and relax to enjoy the evening sun. So we designed a round deck area to compliment the patio. With a round lawn in between the two. And the existing paving to be replaced with new large Indian stone pavers. Contemporary style planting to the boarders topped with slate chippings and a water feature. For the front the paving would continue through on to the drive with a new block edge gently curving to the door.

For the front drive tarmac was decided for the finish with a rustic granite setts to edge.
