Project: New Wheelchair Accessible Garden Design

Description: The original garden was tired and lacked interest, so the client asked me to design a new, accessible space with a clear brief. One of the clients is a wheelchair user and wanted to access the entire garden with ease. They also requested a summer house, raised bed near a path, a pond, a formal lawn, and a wildflower meadow.

I designed a level patio with decorative threshold drains for smooth access from the house. The summer house was placed in the top corner with a connecting path and deck, all fully accessible. In the opposite corner, we added a raised bed, bench, and pergola. A small pond sits beside the path for easy reach, and a wildflower meadow was sown to the left. A formal lawn runs through the centre, flush with the patio and deck for effortless movement throughout.
