Project: Garden Design and Build

Description: After living in their home for over forty years, the clients had long dreamed of transforming their inherited garden into something truly their own. The original layout, passed down from previous owners, no longer suited their lifestyle or aesthetic. They wanted a complete redesign — a fresh, contemporary space that would be elegant, low-maintenance, and perfect for entertaining.

The new design replaced the expansive lawn with a more manageable green area, framed by planting borders along the fence line to soften the boundaries. At the garden’s heart, a gravel terrace now leads the eye toward a raised deck in the corner, creating a natural flow between zones for relaxation and socialising. A curved retaining wall with integrated steps adds both structure and movement to the space, while a central circular seating area forms the focal point for gatherings. Improved access around the house and new steps to the rear doors complete the transformation, ensuring the garden feels open, inviting, and practical.

A few thoughtful adjustments were made during the build to align with the clients’ budget, without compromising on the design intent or overall quality.
