Garden Makeover

Congleton, Cheshire

Date: April 2022

Location: Congleton, Cheshire

Project: Garden makeover

Description: After living in their property for over three decades, the client recognised the need for a garden transformation. Tasked with designing a completely different space in Congleton, Cheshire, I proposed a comprehensive plan. This included a new sun-soaked seating area in the garden’s top corner, alongside a spacious decking area for dining and relaxation. A contemporary border adorned with tree ferns and decorative pebbles added flair, while large Indian stone pavers connected the house to the decking. The lawn was reshaped into a crescent moon shape, complemented by a raised inverted sleeper bed featuring a built-in bench and half-pergola. This bed was carefully planted with a diverse mix of trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, and climbers. To the left, a path of slate chippings with a water feature and box ball shrubs completed the modern garden design.

“Following an initial survey and consultation  Ryan provided us with a plan for garden renovation.  The work carried out by all of Ryan’s team was of an exceptionally high standard and we were kept informed throughout the entire project.  Any issues (drainage) encountered were dealt with swiftly. Once the construction work was complete the garden really came to life when Ryan finished all the planting, incorporating our particular requirements.

The end result far exceeded our expectations and now look forward to many years of enjoyment in our new garden.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Ryan and his team for any garden renovation project,  the whole project was efficiently managed and all members of the team were a pleasure to have working for us.”
