Description: The client got in touch to ask if I could design for them a new garden. The garden they had was as it was when the house was new with no interest at all, and the garden held a lot of water when we have a lot of rain.
I designed them a low budget, low maintenance garden which featured a main decking area by the house, coming on to a raised lawn to cope with the water.
We also were able to find an old land drain that had been covered so it wouldn’t work. We back-filled it with chippings to correct the issue. We then covered with decorative slate chippings and added some minimal planting. A second deck area was added in the bottom corner for a garden pod to be added later. We laid porcelain paving down the side and round to the back, which we did in a broken stepping stone style to reduce cost.
