Project: Garden design and construction

Description: Undertaking a garden landscaping project in Leek, Staffordshire, our client reached out to us for help in redesigning their tired back garden to complement their recently renovated house. We knew that curved lines and a fresh layout would do the trick, so we devised a plan to breathe new life into the space. The old retaining wall was replaced with a stylish curved inverted sleeper design, complemented by raised beds in the same fashion. A central decked area and rounded lawn served as focal points, while a planted area and water feature at the back added tranquility. Large Indian stone pavers and decorative chippings lent a modern aesthetic, completing the transformation of the garden.

Due to budget constraints, we had to slightly lessen the design. The client decided they didn’t need a lot of sitting areas, so one change was to replace the decked area with a bespoke water feature including pebbles, large rocks and some minimal planting. The main raised bed was also eliminated. Some of the paving was reduced and replaced with decorative slate chippings. Minimal planting was done by us, creating the opportunity for the client to add plants in their own time.
